Coachella Confetti Stargirl

Coachella feels like someone accidentally shrunk a full-sized party girl into a compact little 32 lb package. Perfectly petite, itty-bitty pittie vibes? Absolutely. Certified breed? Not even a little. Rescue rules apply, but whatever mix she is came out equal parts happy, wiggly, social butterfly and good-time girl with a very good heart. Estimated to be about a year old, Coachella is still very much in her "life is exciting and I would like to participate in all of it immediately" era.

Coachella is one of those dogs who arrives already acting like she's known you forever. She absolutely adores people and has never met a stranger. She greets people with full-body wiggles, eager affection, puppy kisses, and the kind of happy energy that makes you laugh while she's bouncing around trying to catch all the love. Meeting new dogs, Coachella has shown she is friendly and submissive with every single dog she's met. She loves to play and absolutely thrives in a social dog environment. Her play style is very puppy-ish: welcoming, zippy, and fun-loving. She shares toys well, welcomes shared affection, and fits beautifully into a wide variety of playgroups. She takes correction well and recovers instantly. Once redirected, she settles quickly and happily moves on with life.

Ideal Home

Coachella would like to pass on apartment life. She needs/wants room to run, play, zoom, and feel the wind in her fur. A home with a yard would suit her best, and an active household will keep her glitter sparkling. Kids are welcome! She met a 5 and 7-year-old and was perfectly playful and matched their energy. Most 5+ kids will enjoy her playfulness, but little ones under 5 could easily be overwhelmed by her enthusiasm. She will need a cat-free home, as her enthusiasm for felines is a bit much and not welcome by cats.

Ongoing Health

All vetting is up to date, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been heartworm tested.

Training & Support

She has the basics of leash walking down but occasionally gets that cute burst of puppy-like excitement from just how amazing the whole world is, which looks like a few happy hops. She will benefit from continued leash work and structure. With exercise, structure, and continued guidance, she has all the ingredients to become an incredibly fun and devoted companion.

Transportation

Coachella is located in Texas. Wags facilitates adoptions nationwide using their USDA-certified transport system. This service ensures every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time and receive photo updates. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
