Meet Doug! This handsome, easygoing gentleman is around 6 years old and ready to find the forever home he's always deserved. Doug has excellent manners: he's potty trained, kennel trained, and walks nicely on a leash, making him an easy companion to have by your side. He gets along wonderfully with kids, cats, and other dogs, so he could fit into many different types of families. Doug's favorite things are simple: a cozy bed, a sunny spot to stretch out for an afternoon nap, and the comfort of being near the people he loves. He spent a year in a rural animal control and was almost out of time when we stepped in to help. He hasn't let his past take away his gentle spirit and is now hoping to spend his remaining years safe, cherished, and surrounded by warmth.
