Barney is a charming 2-year-old, 75-pound male Staffordshire Terrier mix who is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, and ready to steal your heart! Barney arrived at the shelter scared and alone, but a kind volunteer worked tirelessly to find him a safe haven. He was saved by a foster home, and now he's looking for his forever family. Barney is incredibly dog-friendly and would love a canine companion to share his life with. He has a medium energy level, enjoying playful zoomies but also loving to lounge as a couch potato. He's gentle and plays wonderfully with other dogs. Barney is also cat-friendly, but can get excited and chase them, so a home with dog-savvy cats would be ideal. He's great with kids and has a very gentle nature with the 13-year-old in his foster home, though a family with older children is recommended due to his size. Barney is a bit shy with sudden loud noises. He walks beautifully on a leash when he has another dog by his side, gaining confidence from his canine friends. He is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, doing well when left alone. Barney is a shy but huge love bug, who enjoys being close to his people and will snuggle his way into your heart. He mirrors the energy of his home, happy to play or sleep the day away.
