Smokey is a 2-year-old male Cane Corso/Weimaraner mix who is a true gem. He weighs 53 pounds and is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered, all ready for his forever home! Smokey was found as a stray and is now looking for a family to shower with love and affection. He's a smart, quick learner with a very submissive and kind-hearted nature. Smokey loves to cuddle on the couch, play chase with other dogs, and is described as "kind-hearted" and "affectionate." He's a total couch potato who's more than happy to hang out and relax with you all day, offering gentle companionship.
Ideal Home
Smokey would thrive in a home that offers love, patience, and a cozy place to rest. He would do best in a low-traffic home due to his shyness with new people. Smokey would prefer a home without cats. He would also do very well in a home with a doggie companion as he loves playing with other dogs.

Training & Support
Smokey is fully potty trained and does his business outside. He walks great on a leash, though he can be a little nervous around strangers and might bark out of excitement, but is easily redirected. He does get excited in the beginning and will pull slightly, but he settles in and walks calmly by your side. Smokey is not a huge fan of the crate and prefers not to be shut inside. He does have some separation anxiety and will cry for a bit when you leave. He doesn't tear anything up and he does stop crying, but for this reason, we think Smokey would be best suited for someone with a house and not an apartment. Smokey would LOVE a home with someone who works from home or is only away from the home for a few hours a day.
