Meet Macie! This energetic and intelligent 5.5-month-old pup is a survivor, having been found with her littermates and mother abandoned on a cold January night. Thankfully, she was rescued and is now thriving in a loving foster home, ready to find her forever family. Macie is a bold, curious, and active dog with a non-stop spark. She loves to play, especially with other dogs who can keep up with her, and she's always eager to learn and explore. She's not a couch potato; she's destined for a life full of activity and purpose!
Ideal Home
Macie would thrive with adopters who understand the herding breed's needs for structure, training, and enrichment. She needs an active lifestyle and a consistent routine. She does well with other dogs who can match her play style, but we may find it easier to place her as an only pet for out-of-state adopters. Due to her energy and herding instincts, she would do best in a home with older, dog-savvy children.
Ongoing Health
All dogs in our care are cleared by a licensed veterinarian, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations.
Training & Support
As a driven and intelligent heeler mix, Macie needs an adopter committed to providing consistent training and outlets for her energy and instincts. Without proper guidance, she might exhibit nippy behavior or become frustrated. She's ready to grow into an incredible, loyal companion with the right support.

Transportation
Macie is currently located in South Mississippi. Local adopters are welcome to pick her up in Gulfport, MS. Transport is available to New Orleans or Pensacola for an additional fee.
