Louis Courage is a handsome Boston Terrier with a heart full of love to give, especially to his favorite ladies! He's estimated to be between 3-5 years old and weighs 21 pounds. Louis had a rough start in life, but he's learning to enjoy the simple pleasures, like lounging in the sun and cuddling up with his favorite blanket. Mornings are his favorite time to play and bounce around like a baby deer, though he's still working on tidying up his toys! He's a smart boy who's good at reading the room and is looking for a patient and understanding companion.

Ideal Home

Louis would thrive in a stable environment with patient female Owner(s) who can continue to work with him. He is not male human friendly and prefers the company of women, likely due to past trauma. He needs a home that understands and can accommodate this. A yard or outdoor space is a must for his sunbathing adventures. Louis does not do well with children and will not be a good fit for a home with cats. He needs an extended, slow introduction to other animals and would do best as the only dog or with a submissive canine companion.

Ongoing Health

Louis is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccines, and on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He has no known medical conditions.

Training & Support

Louis is mostly house-trained and uses his crate as a comfort zone. He has some pulling on the leash but is improving. He is still learning about separation and can be a bit anxious on car rides. Louis is not male human friendly, and this is a significant behavioral aspect that may never fully resolve, requiring experienced owners.
