Stormcloud

Stormcloud is a sweet and sensitive soul who experienced a deeply upsetting situation when her owner left her. She clung to the nearest person, pleading not to be left behind in a kennel. This heartbreaking event is a reality for many animals, and Stormcloud still longs for a loving home and a chance to escape her current nightmare. She dreams of being out of a lonely kennel and back in a place she can call her own.

All dogs are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.

Training & Support

Stormcloud is still processing her past trauma and needs patience and understanding as she adjusts to her new life.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• All household members should be present to meet dogs, especially those under 18 and any decision-makers.
• We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

Transporation

Stormcloud is located at Chicago Animal Care and Control, 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL. They are open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm.
