Mars

Meet Mars! This handsome 2-year-old, 45-50 lb boy is a survivor and a lover. He was found after being abandoned, wandering near a gas station and seeking food and shelter. Thankfully, some kind local business owners and animal lovers stepped in to help him before our team could rescue him. Now, Mars is boarding with a wonderful dog trainer, rediscovering what it's like to be a happy dog again. He adores everyone he meets and forms bonds quickly. Mars is a social butterfly with other dogs, especially those who enjoy energetic play. With gentle guidance, he could also adapt to a home with cats. He'd do best with older children who won't be accidentally bowled over by his enthusiasm. Mars has an amazing recall, which makes us believe he'll be a fantastic companion for an active family!

Ongoing Health

Mars is heartworm positive and has begun the slow-kill treatment. We will provide his future adopter with monthly Heartgard to continue his treatment.

Training & Support

Mars is currently boarding with a dog trainer and learning to be a dog again.
