About Beowulf

Meet Beowulf!

Beowulf is a sensitive, observant, and thoughtful boy who came to us from a local animal control case. He was previously isolated and didn't have many opportunities to socialize. Initially, he was wary, but he has truly blossomed in our care! Beowulf is playful and engaged once he's comfortable, and he has a special dino toy that will go home with him. He is also deeply loyal and will be a wonderful companion with the right support.

Ideal Home

Beowulf would be happy as the only dog in the home, but he could potentially enjoy a canine companion. Multiple dog introductions will be required for homes with other dogs. He may also thrive in a home without cats. Beowulf is not comfortable with children and would prefer a home without them.

Ongoing Health

Beowulf has some quirks and feelings to work through due to his past trauma, but he is ready to live his best life!

Training & Support

Beowulf thrives with structure, routine, and positive reinforcement training. Our behavior team has been working diligently with him on his reactivity towards new dogs, and he's made great progress! He can be playful with dogs he's properly introduced to. Beowulf comes with post-adoption support from our behavior team!
