Remi is a lively 1.5-year-old Cairn Terrier mix who was found abandoned and is now ready to find his forever family. He's a friendly and outgoing pup who loves everyone he meets, including adults and children. Remi also gets along well with other dogs and cats, though his playful energy can be a bit much for feline friends. He's a smart boy who knows his name and will sit for a treat, and he enjoys carrying his favorite toys around. Remi also loves car rides and cuddling up on the bed at night.
Ideal Home
Remi would thrive in a home with another small, playful dog and a secure, fenced yard where he can run and play. A privacy fence might also help reduce his barking at dogs passing by on the sidewalk.
Ongoing Health
Remi was neutered in July and is currently working on his housebreaking. He is up-to-date on vaccinations and tested heartworm negative. His microchip is registered to Second Chance.
Training & Support
Remi is still learning to come when called and can be a bit independent, which is characteristic of his Cairn Terrier heritage. He is working on housebreaking and may benefit from frequent potty breaks. He also has a tendency to playfully tear apart paper towels and tissues, so providing him with appropriate chew toys like approved chew or raw bones is recommended. Obedience training would be beneficial for Remi, and he would do best with someone who is home much of the time.
