Alba

Alba is a sweet and loving 1-year-old Labrador mix who weighs about 30 lbs. She was rescued in March 2024 along with her siblings and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Alba is intelligent, obedient, and playful, enjoying walks, runs, and affection. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but quickly warms up and melts into your arms. Alba is friendly with humans of all ages, including children, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. She's described as docile, joyful, and very loyal. Alba is crate and leash trained.

Ideal Home

Alba would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active, enjoying outdoor activities. Families should have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and be prepared to offer protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups.

Ongoing Health

Alba has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including being spayed/neutered, receiving two DHPPI vaccinations, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and deworming. She is microchipped, and a 4DX test, heartworm test (negative), and health certificate have been provided. She is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive for fleas, ticks, and heartworm.

Training & Support

While Alba is crate and leash trained, it's important to note that rescued animals may not be fully house-trained. Owners should be prepared for a learning curve and understand that extensive rehabilitation and training are part of the rescue process.

Transportation

Alba is currently located in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transportation is available to the adopter's home address for a fee of $400.00, to be paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
