Diggie Doodlebug Hoverfluff looks like a tiny, fluffy Chewbacca! This 11 lb bundle of joy is estimated to be around 4 years old and is a Shih Tzu mix with a heart of gold and a playful spirit. Diggie is a sensitive soul who forms deep bonds with his people and truly shines once he feels comfortable and secure. He enjoys his toys, especially digging through dog beds with dramatic flair, and his scruffy grey coat adds to his undeniable charm.

Ideal Home

Diggie would thrive in a home with children, as he has a special love for kids. He has also successfully lived with cats and can do well with calm, easygoing dogs after slow introductions. A home with a secure yard would be ideal, as he is still building his confidence with leash walking.

Ongoing Health

Diggie has no known ongoing health conditions.

Training & Support

Diggie is not currently leash trained but is practicing with his foster. He finds crates stressful, and his foster has found he is trustworthy in the home without one. He is a "relationship-first" dog and needs a patient adopter who will allow him to settle in at his own pace.

Diggie is currently located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters).
