About Koi the Mini Boxer and Happiest Boy

If happiness had a mascot, it would surely be Koi! This boy is the definition of a people-dog, spreading wiggly affection and enthusiasm for love wherever he goes. He truly lives for being loved! The moment you start petting him, you can see him light up like it's the best day of his life – tail wagging, body wiggling, and a whole-face smile. Standing still for love is just not his style!

Koi is estimated to be 1.5 years old, weighs 33 lbs, and we suspect he is a mini Boxer or English Bulldog mix. He has a big personality, but we cannot guarantee his breed or birthday as he is a rescue. Koi enjoys adventure and is an eager explorer with basic leash skills that will polish to perfection with practice and occasional gentle correction. He checks in often and is happy to meet your expectations.

Dog-wise, Koi is a social and playful guy. He is polite during on-leash introductions, with a little friendly excitement here and there. Koi loves a good playmate with matching energy but can pester dogs to play in an annoying, younger sibling sort of way. He seems to do best with dogs that have a similar playful, "baby bull" style. However, this boy would also be perfectly content being your one and only!

Ideal Home

Koi's ideal home will give him an outlet for his energy through walks, playdates, or backyard fun, and will welcome his occasional joyful jumps and sneaky smooches (face licks!). He's a small package with a big-dog heart and a contagious joy for life. He is friendly, outgoing, and greets new people with open paws and a full-body wiggle, so much so that people may want to come over just to hang out with him. He does gently jump up to give hugs, so a family with slightly older kids who can handle his excitement would be perfect.
