Meet Angus: Your Future Gentle (and Slightly Chaotic) Giant!

Angus is a 6-month-old, 60+ lb Bullmastiff Mix who was found wandering near a local creek. He's a big, goofy toddler in a giant body, eager to grow into a magnificent, very large dog. He was safely picked up and brought to the Hico Animal Shelter, where he's been fully vetted, loved on, and is now ready to find his ultimate forever home.

Ideal Home

Angus would thrive in an active household with older children who can handle his size and enthusiastic puppy nature. A well-fenced yard is a must for him to safely play and explore. He is definitely too much energy for feline friends.

Ongoing Health

Angus is healthy, happy, and ready to go home! He is neutered, up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccines (including Rabies and Bordetella), heartworm negative, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite preventatives.

Training & Support

Angus is actively learning leash skills and currently views the leash as a chew toy, so expect some playful chaos on walks! As a baby, he loves to explore with his mouth and is still learning to manage his strength when playing with other dogs. He is doggie-door trained but may need a little patience to be fully housebroken in a new environment. He loves car rides but needs proper restraint to prevent him from being a "co-pilot disruptor."
