He thrives with consistent people who provide structure and a sense of safety, which helps him continue to grow and feel secure. Chad is more dog-focused than people-focused and truly enjoys the company of other dogs. He tends to do best with female dogs but can also be matched with the right male, as he is not dominant. While he isn't overly clingy, he will seek out affection from his people at times. Chad is a quiet dog who rarely barks, both in and out of his crate. He has good house manners and only chews his own toys. He is fully potty trained and crate trained. Chad naturally matches the energy of the dogs around him, which makes him easy to integrate into a home with other dogs. He enjoys car rides and long hikes with his people, but does best in calmer, more predictable environments.
