Meet Nemo!
Nemo is a 33 lb. Black Mouth Cur Mix with an estimated birthday of 12/9/2025. He's a puppy with a heart full of love and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. Life hasn't always been easy for him; the shelter was a scary and overwhelming place. But thanks to the amazing people at Sunnyside Street Dogs Rescue, he got his second chance and is now safely settling into foster care. Now that he's out of the shelter, his happy personality is starting to shine! He loves people and thinks attention is one of the greatest things ever invented. Whether you're playing, exploring, learning new things, or simply hanging out together, Nemo is happiest when he's with his humans. Like any growing puppy, he has plenty of energy and curiosity. He loves to play and discover new things, but once he's gotten his wiggles out, he's more than happy to climb into your lap for cuddles and belly rubs. He's also a smart boy who is eager to learn and would love a family that will continue teaching him all about this big, wonderful world. He's done well meeting other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine sibling to play with. Mostly, though, he's just looking for a family to call his own... one that will love him forever and never let him wonder where he belongs again.

Transportation
Nemo is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and is available to your state or a neighboring state. We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas. These are ground transports using third-party vehicles (vans/buses) converted for dog transport. Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport. Please be able to use one of these available services if you wish to follow your adopted dog on transport.
