King

Hear ye, hear ye, his majesty has arrived!

I am King, and my friends here at the shelter remind me that I am doggie royalty. Thanks to their love and support, I have learned to walk tall and find happiness in life. I had a rather difficult time when I first arrived; I completely shut down and was too upset to eat, sitting with my head hung low. It took me a while before I learned to trust people again, but now, I am quite the loyal and attentive sidekick. I enjoy running and chasing my favorite tennis ball in the yard. I am quite the athlete and can catch my toys midair! While some dogs show affection with kisses, that's not my style. I love my daily walks with my kennel mom, who says I am a fast learner with great leash manners. I enjoy following her around the yard and will lay on top of her feet as a loving gesture.

Ideal Home

I am searching for a home in which my human roommate respects my space. I will approach when I am seeking affection but prefer to do my own thing for the most part. I'm far too regal to share my throne with cats, but I do enjoy romping around and playing with large breed female dogs. If you have children, please consider some of my other friends up for adoption, as I am not a fan of interactions with tiny humans.

I have developed great leash manners and am a fast learner. I can be a bit independent but show affection by being present and laying on my human's feet.
