BAILEY #17

Bailey is a sweet and loving senior Black Labrador Retriever who is looking for her forever home. She was adopted years ago from a farm where the older dogs were rough with her, and has been with her current family for five years. Unfortunately, due to her owner's physical limitations, it's become more difficult to provide Bailey with the care she deserves. She is a timid girl who may bark more frequently, but she gets along wonderfully with the cat in her home and does well with other dogs at the dog park. Bailey is friendly to visitors and would likely do well with older children, though she hasn't had much experience with them. She knows "sit" and "lay down," and walks nicely on a leash. However, she seems to have selective hearing and doesn't always respond to her name. Bailey would benefit from an active owner who can help her lose a few pounds to reach a healthier weight. She truly deserves the best!

Ideal Home

Bailey would thrive in an active home where she can get plenty of exercise. She gets along with cats and other dogs, and would likely do well with older children.

Training & Support

Bailey may bark more due to her timid nature. She also doesn't always respond to her name, so consistent training to reinforce commands and her name would be beneficial.
