About Mochaccino, the sweet companion
Hi there, I'm Mochaccino! I'm a 12-month-old, 49 lb CoonHound mix with a gentle soul and a calm demeanor. My greatest joy is being by my human's side, quietly following you through life's adventures. I'm not one for boisterous playdates or being the center of attention; instead, I dream of having a special person to share my days with. While I'm happy to have other dogs around, my heart truly belongs to my people and my favorite toys! I have a low to medium energy level, content to keep you company or settle down by myself while you work. I'm already crate trained and house trained, and I don't have a destructive streak. I also ride well in the car and don't have the typical loud hound bark. My mixed-breed heritage gives me a lovely balanced personality!
I might bark to let you know someone's at the door or if gardeners are nearby, but I do so from a distance and without aggression. I'm more of a cautious observer than a troublemaker. I'm very food-motivated, which makes training a fun and rewarding experience. I'm cautious but not aggressive with cats. While I haven't been extensively tested with children, I'm a gentle boy who would likely do well with older, respectful children. I'm okay with other dogs but prefer being a devoted companion over being the life of the dog party. I'm up-to-date on my vaccinations and ready for a home that cherishes a loyal, low-key dog who loves deeply without needing to be loud or demanding. My journey began in Texas as part of an unintended litter, but I'm safe and loved now, eagerly awaiting my chance to be your chosen companion.
Ideal Home
My ideal home is with a human who desires a calm, devoted companion. Someone who enjoys having a furry shadow, a quiet co-worker during work-from-home hours, a peaceful travel buddy, and a sweet presence to unwind with at the end of the day. I envision a life filled with soft routines, cozy evenings, gentle walks, calm weekends, and the simple happiness of belonging. I'm not seeking just any home; I'm looking for the right match – someone who recognizes my quiet loyalty, calm nature, and human-focused heart and understands that my greatest desire is to love my person well.
Ongoing Health
I am up to date on my vaccinations.
Training & Support
I am crate trained, house trained, and not destructive. I know how to settle and ride well in the car. I am not an excessive barker, though I may alert to visitors or distant activity. I am very food-oriented, making me easy to motivate and reward during training.

Transporation
I was rescued in Texas and am looking for a foster-to-adopt family in the northern states. This program allows you 2-3 weeks to experience real life together to ensure we are a perfect fit. If, for any reason, it's not the right match, my rescue will promptly find me another home. Transport runs every other weekend. My next trip north includes pickup locations in Staunton, VA; Winchester, VA; Wythville, VA; East Hartford, CT; and Brattleboro, VT. I'll be the happy little guy ready for my next adventure!
