Carol Brady, also known as CiCi or Rue, is an 11-month-old mixed breed with a heart full of love and a boundless zest for life! She's a playful, people-loving adventure buddy who perfectly balances energetic zoomies with cozy cuddle time. CiCi is wonderfully dog-friendly and enjoys playful rough-and-tumble with her canine pals. While she hasn't met cats, she absolutely adores people of all kinds. She has been around a 10-year-old child and did well, but due to her bursts of excitement, she might be best suited for a home with older children who can keep up with her playful energy. CiCi is house-trained and knows several commands, including sit, shake (both paws!), up, and lay down. She's a bit anxious when left alone or during car rides, and she can sometimes chew to self-soothe, so she would benefit from a patient adopter and a calm, structured environment. Calming treats help ease her nerves for outings and drives. CiCi is a food-motivated learner who loves to perform her tricks for a tasty reward! She's also a bit of a talker, letting out little yodels and barks when she wants to communicate. She loves ice and watermelon as special treats!
Ideal Home
CiCi would thrive in an active home that can give her the attention, exercise, and companionship she craves. She can be happy in a house with a yard or an apartment, as long as she gets plenty of opportunities to explore and burn off energy. She does best with a mid-day dog walker or a family member home during the day, as she doesn't do well when left alone for long periods. She is not recommended for a home with cats.
Ongoing Health
CiCi is a healthy, young dog. To help with her anxiety when left alone, we recommend providing her with a crate and stimulating toys like a frozen Kong filled with kibble or a mixture of Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and pumpkin puree.
Training & Support
CiCi is working on her leash manners, as she can pull when excited at the start of walks, but she settles down once she's had a chance to warm up. She is also working on not jumping up when greeting people, but she is making good progress. She goes into her kennel easily with a "go to bed" command. It's important to feed her in her crate unless she is the only dog, and to let her eat undisturbed.
