Riggs

Riggs is a 9-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix who joined us from a large hoarding situation. While he was cared for, the sheer number of dogs meant he missed out on some crucial early socialization. Riggs is a sweet, gentle, and shy boy who prefers a calm environment and a little time to adjust. He's a natural introvert who takes his time assessing new situations.

Ideal Home

Riggs thrives with other dogs and cats, and would do best in a home with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes. He needs a securely fenced yard for his safety and to shield him from loud noises and sudden commotion. Children over 10 years old are recommended, as he's not a fan of boisterous or grabby kids. A calm and respectful household is ideal.

Riggs has no known health conditions at this time.

Training & Support

Riggs is still learning about everyday life and would benefit from a home that understands shy dogs flourish with structure, kindness, and patience. He's not a fan of loud holidays like the Fourth of July, so his family should be prepared to help him manage his anxieties during such times.
