Trooper

Trooper is a handsome 2 1/2-year-old, 60-pound pup who will be your ever-present shadow. He’s a smart, gentle soul who just wants to be where his favorite person is. Trooper is fully house-trained and crate-trained, and he doesn't shed! He already knows commands like "stay," "come," "lay down," and "quiet." He walks beautifully on a leash, rides calmly in the car, and is happiest by your side. Trooper is a loyal companion who responds well to kindness and consistency. He’s not a loud or demanding dog; he simply desires to feel safe and be part of his family. He enjoys cozy naps, watching the world from the patio, peaceful car rides, gentle playtime, and being wherever you are.

Ideal Home

Trooper thrives as a true companion and would do best in a home where he isn't left alone for long hours. He has done well with other dogs, ignores barking dogs on walks, and his protective instincts are easily redirected due to his excellent listening skills.

Trooper is neutered and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Trooper is house-trained and crate-trained. He has some separation anxiety and will benefit from a loving, consistent home.

Transporation

Trooper is currently located at our Rescue Ranch near Houston, TX. He can be transported to a location near you via scheduled transport, which runs once a month. The adoption fee is $395, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport. Transport involves scheduled, air-conditioned/heated vans with a team of two drivers. You will be included in a group chat to track your dog's journey and receive updates on arrival times. Dogs on transport stop for breaks, and are crated for safety.
