Rainer

Meet Rainer! This handsome 3-year-old Blue Heeler is a true survivor, having overcome a severe injury that resulted in the amputation of one of his legs. Despite his ordeal, Rainer is an incredibly sweet and resilient dog. He's already been neutered, completed heartworm treatment, and has fully recovered from his surgery. Rainer is dog-social and does well with other dogs who understand and respect his boundaries. He's really struggling in the shelter environment, as high-energy, intelligent dogs like Heelers need mental stimulation and connection with their people. Tripod dogs often adapt remarkably well and don't let their missing limb slow them down, and Rainer is no different. He's ready for a loving home where he can get a couch, a family, a routine, and a person to call his own.
