Mabel is a 2.5-year-old, 64-pound pit bull mix who is spayed and vaccinated. She was found abandoned and scared but has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and outgoing girl who absolutely adores people. Mabel's favorite activities include snuggling, giving kisses, going for car rides, and being showered with attention. She has shown a special talent for being gentle and patient with children, particularly with their autistic son, and has a heart full of love to share. Mabel enjoys playing with other medium to large dogs and is learning to moderate her excitement during playtime. She also makes progress with leash manners on walks and is eager to greet other dogs. She would likely thrive with a playful, tolerant canine sibling or as the cherished only pet.
Ideal Home
Mabel would do best in a home that offers plenty of love, cuddles, and comfortable spaces to relax near her humans. She would likely be happiest in a home without cats.
Ongoing Health
Mabel may require a little extra patience and support during vet visits and certain procedures.
Training & Support
Mabel can sometimes get overexcited during play and is still learning when it's time to wind down. She may pull on the leash when she sees other dogs but is improving. She is not a fan of crates and prefers to sleep cuddled with her people.
