Pauly D is the kind of dog that walks into a room like he already knows he's about to become everyone's favorite. One minute he's making you laugh with his playful antics and dramatic expressions, the next he's leaning into you for affection like you're the most important person in the world. He has that rare combination of confident social butterfly energy mixed with genuinely sweet, loyal companionship, and it makes him ridiculously easy to love. Pauly D is believed to be a German Shepherd mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 56 lbs.
Ideal Home
Pauly D would thrive in a home with a nice backyard to show off in, humans who enjoy being active and involved with him, and people who appreciate a dog with personality for days. He would do best with a confident adopter that enjoys walks, adventures, continued training, and having a dog that actually wants to be part of everything you're doing. He wants to be included in your day-to-day life. A yard for zoomies, a couch for dramatic lounging sessions, and humans who love affection, laughter, and a little daily chaos in the best way would be his dream setup. He would thrive most in a home with children around 8 and up who can better understand his space and read his cues, and enjoy his playful, outgoing personality without overwhelming him. He would also do great as your one-and-only dog. Pauly D would do best in a kitty-free home.
Ongoing Health
All vetting is included in the adoption fee, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed.
Training & Support
Pauly D is dog friendly and has been in multiple playgroups. He would likely do best paired with a fun-loving, socially savvy female dog that enjoys an active, playful dynamic and can appreciate his outgoing personality. He enjoys playtime with toys like stuffies, balls, tug toys, and chew toys. He is happy to play fetch, bounce around the yard, or entertain himself with zoomies. He has a great off switch and can appreciate a solid couch crash after playtime. Our trainers on staff assess every animal, modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families, including crate training, potty training, and leash walking.

Transporation
We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Transport includes drop off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
