Gaia

Gaia is an almost 18-month-old, 73lb female German Shepherd/Malinois mix with a name that means "Greek mother of all life." She was rescued from a high-kill shelter in California after being found as a stray with her 10 puppies. Thanks to a foster in the Seattle area, Gaia and her pups were saved. After diligently raising her puppies, she's now ready to enjoy her own puppyhood! While initially thought to be older, Gaia is now estimated to be around 18 months old. She's an incredible girl who quickly wins over everyone she meets with her engaging, affectionate, and playful personality. As a smart and active Malinois, she can be a little mischievous if not given enough stimulation.

Gaia would thrive in a home with owners experienced with working breeds who can appreciate her intelligence, drive, and fun-loving spirit.

Ongoing Health

Gaia is up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and has been spayed. She has been microchipped with lifetime registration and received a recent health check.

Training & Support

Gaia is fully potty trained and rides well in the car. She is leash-trained and can settle nicely in the home, but thrives with structure and engagement. She needs a high-quality crate, like a Kennel Boss, when left alone as she is clever enough to escape standard wire crates. She is confident and neutral around other dogs, happy to play when invited or coexist peacefully.
