Rusty

My name is Rusty, and I'm a sweet and lovable 8-year-old pup, weighing in at 13.8 pounds. We think I'm a Schnauzer mix. I arrived at AFC in March of 2024, coming from a difficult situation where I lived with many other dogs. It's been a journey, but with a little time and patience, I blossom into a precious and sweet companion. If you sit on the floor with me, I'll happily curl up in your lap for endless snuggles, and I'd be just as content in your cozy recliner.

A home that can offer patience and love as I continue to learn and grow. I would thrive with other dogs who can help me learn and adjust.

Ongoing Health

I'm neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My scruffy fur is pretty easy to care for, though I'm not a big fan of baths or the blow dryer, I tolerate them.

Training & Support

I might need a little more house training, but I do understand commands like "Go Potty" and can use a doggie door. With a little love and guidance, I'll learn to walk nicely on a leash.
