About Pantera

Meet Pantera, a sweet girl who is an equal parts couch potato, snuggle bug, and goofy adventure buddy! When Pantera first came to us, she was understandably scared of the world around her. New people were terrifying, and her confidence was hidden deep inside. She would barely lift her head, unsure if she was truly safe. But with patience, structure, love, and lots of encouragement, this sweet girl slowly started to blossom. Now, Pantera greets guests by immediately turning herself into a 60-pound weighted blanket and soaking up every ounce of affection she can get. Tail wags, goofy smiles, and couch cuddles – she's discovered that home is supposed to feel safe, warm, and full of love. Pantera is looking for a forever family that understands she's the perfect mix of cuddle queen and active companion. She LOVES a good game of tug or chasing a ball, enjoys walks, and thrives when her brain and body stay engaged. She's currently working on impulse control, muzzle training, and building confidence with distractions, and she's doing amazing! Pantera has done the hard part – learning how to trust and love again. Now she just needs someone willing to choose her forever.

Ideal Home

Pantera would do great with a calm, well-balanced dog to follow. She may do well with respectful kids who understand boundaries. Due to her high prey drive, she cannot live with small pets.

Ongoing Health

Pantera does have some separation anxiety, so she'll need an experienced and committed adopter willing to continue helping her feel secure and confident.

Training & Support

Pantera is working on impulse control, muzzle training, and building confidence with distractions. She needs structure, consistency, and continued training. A trainer has offered continued support for her future family.
