Kanela

Meet Kanela! This gorgeous, joyful girl has a big heart and an adventurous spirit, living up to her sweet name. She's a medium-high energy pup who absolutely adores toys and chew bones. Kanela would thrive with an active human companion who enjoys running, hiking, or exploring the great outdoors. She's dog social but can exhibit confident alpha tendencies with other female dogs, so she's best suited for a home with an experienced owner who understands her spirited personality. Kanela is a distemper survivor, caught and treated early, and is otherwise healthy and deeply bonded to her people. Because her behavior can be unpredictable at times, she is not the best fit for homes with small children.

Ideal Home

Kanela needs a home with a yard and is not suited for apartments or condos. We will be selective to ensure she finds her perfect match.

Ongoing Health

Kanela is a distemper survivor, caught and treated early. She is otherwise healthy.

Training & Support

Kanela can be a confident alpha with other female dogs and may be unpredictable at times, so an experienced owner is recommended.

Application Details:

• Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
• Approved adopters are matched with flight companions traveling from Puerto Vallarta. You will meet them at the airport to welcome your new pup home.
• During summer months in Canada, dogs may need to fly into the US and be picked up at Peace Arch Park at the border if a Canadian flight companion is unavailable. Volunteers have successfully helped bring dogs to adopters at the border.

Transportation

Kanela is located in Puerto Vallarta and can be transported to approved adopters.
