About Molly
Meet Molly - a sweet, silly, beautiful seal-colored Boston Terrier, which means her coat appears black at first glance but shines with gorgeous reddish-brown and mahogany tones in the sunlight. She’s truly stunning inside and out!
Molly is a 10-year-old Boston Terrier with a big heart and an even bigger personality. After losing the only home she ever knew due to her owner’s serious medical issues, Molly is now in a foster home where she’s showing everyone just how special she is.
At about 26 pounds (with a little extra fluff we’re working on!), Molly is a surprisingly playful and energetic senior. She absolutely loves tennis balls, enjoys a good game of tug-of-war with rope toys, and happily shakes squeaky toys like any Boston worth her salt. She’s goofy, affectionate, and loves nothing more than tummy rubs and sitting in a cozy lap—especially if it belongs to her foster dad.
Molly also enjoys her walks and trots along like a champ—even in the rain! She can be a little slow and stubborn when it’s time to head home, but that just adds to her charm. Around the house she’s a loyal little shadow, happily following her people from room to room before heading into her crate for a nap (where she snores like a pro).
Because of mild cataracts, Molly occasionally has trouble spotting a tossed tennis ball, but that doesn’t stop her from trying. She also has dry eye in one eye, which requires daily lubrication to keep her comfortable. Molly had ear infections when she arrived, but they are being treated and improving nicely.
Molly is doing well learning the routine in her foster home. She eats well, loves freeze-dried beef liver treats, and now does her business outside. She’s also incredibly regular—her foster family jokes she could set a clock by her!
While Molly is wonderful with people and enjoys meeting new friends, she can be reactive around other dogs, especially on walks. For that reason, she would likely do best as the only dog in the home with an owner who can help her feel safe and relaxed.
Despite all the changes she’s been through, Molly remains incredibly trusting, loving, and resilient. She has a few calluses from her previous life and carries the signs of a dog who may not have always had the softest landing—but her spirit is bright, and she is ready to love her people with everything she’s got.
Molly is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to start her next chapter.
If you’re looking for a funny, affectionate companion who still has plenty of playful energy but also appreciates a good nap, Molly might just be your girl.
