A little about them
Polly is a sweet, happy, playful Pit mix whose love language is toys. She loves chewing, carrying, throwing, and playing with them—alone, with people, or with dog friends. This affectionate homebody is also self-sufficient and content to relax while you work.
Polly has had a difficult past and is still building confidence. She can take time to warm up to strangers, prefers a small social circle, and feels safest at home with access to a fenced yard. She would do well with other dogs or as a solo dog. Small children are not ideal because grabby behavior and busy social circles may overwhelm her.
Ideal Home
- A fenced yard is required to help Polly feel secure.
- Polly would enjoy a home with plenty of toys and people who appreciate her playful personality.
- She can live with other dogs or as the only dog.
- She prefers a quieter home and needs time to warm up to new people.
- Garbage trucks are particularly unsettling for her, though other vehicles do not bother her.
Ongoing Health
- Vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative.
Training & Support
- Fully house trained, crate trained, and non-destructive.
- Knows sit, stay, and paw, and quickly learns routines.
- Polly enjoys toys, power tools, vacuums, and leaf blowers as though they are toys, so she should be supervised around equipment for safety.
- She is comfortable pottying in rain, snow, thunderstorms, and darkness.
