Bailey-Sue is a 4-year-old, 57lb spayed female Pittie mix who is playful, affectionate, and brave. She came to us from a shelter after surviving physical abuse, and though it took months for her to trust again, her resilience and gentle spirit now shine through. She just needs a patient, loving home willing to let her open up at her own pace. Once she trusts, she's pure love!
Ideal Home
Bailey adores children and currently lives with kids from 3 to 17 years old, showing gentleness and patience. She loves to play with other dogs, but prefers slow introductions and has done best with dogs around 30-80 lbs. A calm male dog who can match her energy and help her feel confident would be ideal. Bailey needs a home that understands she may take time to feel safe and confident, and that her initial caution around new people or dogs is rooted in fear, not aggression.
Ongoing Health
No specific health conditions are mentioned.
Training & Support
Bailey is fully house-trained and crate-trained, sleeping through the night. She is used to eating and enjoying treats in her crate or alone without issue. She has never shown any food or toy guarding towards people. When it comes to leash walking, Bailey does best after burning off some energy. Continued leash work will help her when she is excited.
