Mae

Mae is a 1-year-old, 63 lb sweetheart who came to us as a stray feeling incredibly overwhelmed. While it took her some time to settle in, she's been building confidence every day and is becoming a happier, more outgoing version of herself. These days, Mae happily greets staff and volunteers at the front of her kennel and genuinely enjoys spending time with the people she knows. Watching her personality come out has been one of the most rewarding parts of getting to know her.

Ideal Home

Mae has an active side and would love a family that enjoys getting outside with her. She shows positive interest in other dogs and enjoys interacting with them, though she can sometimes come on a little strong with her excitement. We strongly recommend that resident dogs meet Mae before adoption.

Ongoing Health

Mae is heartworm negative.

Transporation

Mae is located at the Guilford County Animal Shelter in Greensboro, NC. You can visit her from 12-4 pm any day except Tuesdays; no appointment needed.
