Cody Front Porch Friend

Cody is a gentle soul with long legs and soft eyes, estimated to be 5 years old and weighing 90 lbs. He may seem big at first glance, but he's a quiet, tender companion who prefers to lean into his people for comfort rather than take up space. Cody shows affection on his own terms, offering a meaningful "hug" by leaning his body into you when he feels safe. He can be a little shy when meeting new people and may find new environments overwhelming. With a calm space and a steady routine, Cody will settle in and reveal his loving heart. He's not a high-energy dog and prefers peaceful coexistence with other dogs, enjoying quiet company rather than boisterous play. Cody also showed a respectful curiosity towards the resident cat, demonstrating his ability to coexist peacefully with felines. Car rides are a favorite pastime, making him an ideal low-key road trip buddy.

Ideal Home

Cody would thrive in a peaceful and predictable home with a calm, patient, and kind energy. A yard would be a bonus, but the home's overall atmosphere is most important.

Ongoing Health

Cody is up-to-date on all vetting, including vaccinations and preventative treatments.

Training & Support

Cody may take a week or two to settle into a new home. He is described as an easy companion once he adjusts. He is good with cats and prefers calm dogs.

Transporation

Cody is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via the rescue's transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. Transport includes real-time tracking and photo updates. There is an $87 surcharge for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
