Wilda

Wilda is a sweet, tri-color girl who is approximately 5 years old and weighs 45 pounds. She's a delightful mix of Foxhound, Beagle, and Bluetick, confirmed by DNA testing. Wilda was rescued while very pregnant and after giving birth to five puppies, she found herself in a terrifyingly loud shelter. Thankfully, a rescue group stepped in to help her and her pups.

While Wilda was initially semi-feral and made little progress in a kennel environment, she has truly blossomed in her foster home. She's learning to enjoy life, even discovering the joy of play! She was terrified when she first came into care and is still learning that humans are kind. She will need a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to feel comfortable and secure.

Ideal Home

Wilda would thrive in a home with at least one other dog, as she does best with a "pack" and is very dog-friendly. While she has no aggression towards children, very loud or boisterous kids might scare her, so a calmer environment would be best. She is also friendly with cats.

Ongoing Health

Wilda is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed. She is currently heartworm positive but is receiving treatment at no cost to the adopter until she tests negative.

Training & Support

Wilda is house-trained and crate-trained. As she is still learning to trust humans, ongoing patience and positive reinforcement will be key to her continued success in her new home.
