Meet Red, our longest resident! This smiley 4-year-old pittie mix is an energetic and affectionate boy with a true zest for life. Red and 15 other dogs were brought to us after their rural Florida shelter was devastated by hurricanes Helene and Milton. After 1.5 years, Red is still patiently waiting for his forever home! He's been wonderful in our care, enjoying playtime in the yard, zoomies with staff, and plenty of snuggles from volunteers and his favorite people. He's a fan favorite for doggy day outs and fostering, and he's fully housetrained. Red is happy 24/7 and is sure to put a smile on your face! He tends to prefer the company of female dogs and people, but with slow and proper introductions, he can become friends with all. Red's adoption fee has been WAIVED to help him finally find his forever home. He's an easygoing, lovable goofball who will shower his family with a lifetime of love. Transporation

Red is located in White Stone, VA. We transport to the Northeast weekly. Applicants not located along the East Coast should be willing to travel to pick up their pet. We provide local or virtual meet-and-greets with an application on file.
