Hiya friends! My name is Tay Tay, and I'm a sweet and gentle Korean Jindo mix who's about 2 years old and weighs 36 lbs. I was rescued from the streets of Mexico City when a kind woman noticed me in a bit of a predicament with some male pups and decided to help me! While not much is known about my past, I'm now happy and healthy at the shelter, waiting for my forever family. I love meeting new people and enjoy my daily routine, especially mealtime and playtime. I've made lots of doggy friends here and we have a blast running around together! I have a medium energy level, meaning I enjoy playtime but also know when it's time to relax. I even ride calmly in the car! I've had quite the journey, and now I'm just waiting for my best adventure yet – finding my forever family!
Ideal Home
I'm still learning about kids, so an environment where I can get to know them slowly would be great. I also haven't met any cats, so a home willing to introduce me to them with patience would be ideal. I may have a prey drive, so my adopter needs to be prepared to train me through any potential behaviors around smaller critters.
Ongoing Health
I'm spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. I'll come to Canada with all my vaccine and test records, and I will be tested for heartworm before flying north. Please note that it's not uncommon for rescue dogs to need dental work after adoption, and these costs are the adopter's responsibility.
Training & Support
I'm practicing my leash manners and would benefit from continued training with a well-fitted harness. I'm also a work in progress with housetraining, so frequent potty breaks and positive reinforcement will be key to my success in a new home.
