Jake

Jake is a three-legged wonder dog ready to steal your heart! He was abandoned and ended up at HSWA after a stint with Animal Control. It's clear he's had a tough start, but after hip surgery and the amputation of his back right leg, we're determined to find him the best forever home. Jake is a sweet and calm boy who loves meeting new people and is eager to make doggy friends. His personality is friendly, laid-back, and low-key, but he enjoys exploring a fenced-in yard for playtime and exercise before settling in for couch snoozes. He's such a good boy and deserves a loving and secure home.

Ideal Home

Jake would love a home with a fenced-in yard for playtime and exercise. He also wants a family that will allow him to snuggle on the couch.

Ongoing Health

Jake is up-to-date on all vet care, is heartworm-negative, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and is current on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He is in excellent health after his leg amputation and gets around wonderfully on three legs.

Training & Support

Jake has interacted with children at events and his personality suggests he'd be a great family dog. He is eager to engage with other dogs in a positive way and has a calm demeanor around them. He has not been tested with cats.

Transporation

Jake is currently at our Dog Adoption Facility and requires an appointment to meet. He can be transported to various locations.
