Oso is a handsome 5-year-old German Shepherd/Hound mix with soulful eyes and a heart of gold. He's a deeply loving boy who doesn't give his heart away easily, but once he chooses you, he's devoted. He's a gentle, quiet soul who absolutely adores his foster mom, lighting up with pure joy and affection whenever she's around. Oso is wonderfully low-maintenance and low-energy, perfectly content with a comfy spot to nap, leisurely walks, occasional car rides, and the company of his favorite people. He has a wonderful talent for relaxing and would make a calm and cherished companion.

Ideal Home

Oso is a calm and easygoing companion who would thrive in a home where he can relax and enjoy leisurely walks. He's happy to be your one and only, or he coexists peacefully with other dogs. He has also shown himself to be polite and respectful around cats, minding his own business and giving them space, making him a good candidate for a home with cat-savvy felines.

Ongoing Health

Oso is a healthy boy. His adoption fee includes all vetting, vaccinations, deworming, flea and heartworm prevention, and a microchip.

Training & Support

Oso can be a little shy when meeting new people and may need a little patience, kindness, and tasty treats to warm up. Once he feels safe and loved, his sweet personality truly blossoms. He has impeccable manners and a deep capacity for love.

Oso is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel for every pet. We have drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada. You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. A $87 surcharge applies for transportation. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
