Cookie

Cookie and his three siblings were found abandoned on a rural road in Lee County, VA. Their local shelter was overflowing and facing difficult decisions, so a kind individual took them in for nearly three weeks until our rescue could step up and save them! We're so thrilled we opened our hearts and our kennels to these hound pups, even though we're primarily a pit bull rescue. Cookie is truly one of the sweetest pups in our care!

He's a fantastic boy who settles calmly in his crate. Cookie enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home, including a one-year-old and an older dog, and he does well with both. He also shows no interest in the chickens kept in their run. Cookie is a champion snuggler when you're relaxing but also loves to play! He's generally quiet, except when he's a little scared to jump down from the bed! He's still perfecting his leash manners but is making great progress. He's had very few accidents inside and is starting to let his foster family know when he needs to go potty. Cookie is a real gem!

Cookie's adoption fee of $375 includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip, and neuter.

Training & Support

Cookie is still learning to walk nicely on a leash and is working on house training. He's starting to signal when he needs to go outside.
