Introducing Dougie! This sweet 6-year-old Rat Terrier is a hugger, literally wrapping his long legs around your neck for a cuddle. He came to us when his owners moved and, sadly, was painfully underweight at just 11.5 lbs. Thankfully, his bloodwork was normal, and he quickly took to his meals, gaining 3 pounds in his first week with us! Dougie is a lovable and needy companion who adores cuddling and following you around, gazing up with big, adoring eyes. He has lived with a child and a larger dog and showed a gentle, loving nature. This special soul is looking for a stable home with regular meals to enjoy the next 10+ years of his life.

Ideal Home

Dougie would thrive in a home where he can be showered with love and attention. He has experience living with children and larger dogs and did well.

Dougie was underweight upon arrival but is now gaining weight with regular meals. His bloodwork was normal.
