Huey

Huey is a handsome adult male mixed breed dog who found his way to us through our Humane Investigations Department. He was previously adopted but recently returned due to housing issues, through no fault of his own. Huey initially struggled with shelter life and lacked basic manners, but he's been working closely with our Behavior Department in formal training to improve his skills. He's a large breed dog who can be a little nervous in new situations and will need a patient and understanding family to help him feel secure.

Ideal Home

Huey would do best in a home with adult-only occupants and no other pets, so he can have all the love and attention to himself. Adopters should have experience with Rottweilers or Dobermans and be comfortable handling large breeds.

Ongoing Health

Huey is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Training & Support

Huey is continuing his positive reinforcement training and will need a home that will commit to this ongoing work. He also requires plenty of mental and physical activity each day.
