I'm Nova, a striking 4-year-old silver girl with a heart as big as they come! Already spayed and ready to settle into my forever home, I'm friendly, affectionate, and love nothing more than snuggling up with my people. I've shown great manners during meet-and-greets here at the shelter, and my playful spirit means we'll have plenty of fun together. My adoption fee is just $100 - come meet this gentle soul and discover why I'm ready to be your perfect companion!

Behavior Notes:

Playgroup 6/19: Usual fast-moving, push/pull playstyle self. Became good playmates with Pulitzer and Peaches.

Per Volunteer 6/19/2026: When I approached her kennel, she was laying at the other end of it then immediately came forward with a wiggly loose body. I leashed her very easily on the first try and she hopped right out of the kennel and walks very well on leash. Very in tune with her handler. Minimal pulling outside on leash. When we got to the play yard, she immediately came up to me to seek out attention! She takes pets nicely and takes treats nicely as well. She seems pretty treat motivated and I had her attention as soon as I took a treat out. Pretty calm in the play yard. She didn't show any interest in toys today. Very sweet girl who was fine when another handler entered the volunteer office with us. Seems very handler oriented!!

Play group 6/16/2026: 2/5 with water and 1/5 with can. Good greetings, quick moves, play bows, moves away on her own. Takes good breaks. Pulitzer came in hot, both dogs went up on their hind legs and Nova snapped at Pulitzer, getting on top of her. After staff intervened, able to hang out in the yard with Pulitzer.

Per volunteer 6/15: Easy to leash, came right to the front. Walked nicely on the leash, no pulling, Pulled Mildly Yes, I handled the dog. Wanted to jump on my lap, other than that just wants pets and hugs Needed a little help going back into kennel ( needed to take a step in or toss a treat in) Very happy and smiley

6/14/2026 walksheet notes so far: Walksheet notes: Nova was walked on 6/11, 6/12 (twice), and 6/14. On 6/11 Nova had mild issues entering the kennel and was noted to have low energy. Handler wrote "very sweet and cried a bit.. Pee'd, pooped, and peed again. Very housetrained. Popped out a piece of fabric. Didn't like any treats." On 6/12 Nova had no general issues noted and was observed to have low energy. Handler wrote "too potty-trained for her own good. Pee'dforever, would be surprised if 24 hours. Sweet, today no crying and very friendly. Loves hot dogs. On 6/12 Nova was walked again with no issues and low energy noted, handler wrote "Pooped, peed twice immediately. SHe is potty trained. Please take her out or she will it hold it in for hours. Lovebug, very sweet. Low energy. Just wants to be near you" On 6/14 Nova had very mild kennel and leash concerns and was noted to have medium energy. Handler wrote " Tried to pull and when leashing, pulled o

Behavior Eval 6/14/2026: Kennel Presentation: On the backside of her kennel for cleaning sitting right at the door. Hopped up on the door when I talked to her, ears to the side, soft eyes, mid tail wags, loose body. Took a treat gently through the bars.

Leash Skills: Tried to push out at first when leashing. I closed the door to readjust my leash and she backed up, was able to leash the second time and she came right out. Walked pulling moderately, loose body, ears to the side, mid tail. Outside would pull mildly to moderately, high tail, hackles raised, ears forward, sniffing around nose to the ground.

Sociability: Sniffing around the yard, would come over when I called to her soft eyes, ears back, loose body, mid tail wags. Allowed all handling and leaned into pets with the same body language. When I stopped she nudged my hand then put her front paws on my lap, hopped down when I stood up. She is food motivated and knows sit!

Play: Would chase the toys I tossed then lost interest.

Dog Interaction: Saw a few dogs through he fence, high wagging tail, ears back, sniffed at them.

Return to Kennel: Walked back with the same body language as walking out. Stopped outside her kennel, tossed in a treat and she hopped right in. Leash was removed easily by hand
