Hi there, I'm Jace! I'm a 55-pound bulldog mix with a beautiful white and brown coat. I'm as sweet as can be and my favorite thing in the world is to snuggle up next to my favorite person for belly rubs and head scratches. I'm a smart cookie and I already know "sit," "down," and "leave it." I'm super motivated by treats, so I bet I could learn all sorts of new tricks!
My favorite toys are my Kong stuffed with yummy treats, bones, and my plushies. I enjoy a game of fetch, though I might decide to keep the ball for myself sometimes! Tug-of-war is also a blast. I'm looking for someone to be my best friend. I love to follow my people around and just hang out – I'm a total goober! I don't quite realize how big I am and will try to plop right into your lap just to be close.
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home where I can be your one and only canine companion. I'm not a fan of dogs, and while it might stem from fear rather than true aggression, it's best if I'm the only dog in the house. I do well with cats, as long as they stay away from my food.
Ongoing Health
One side of my face will never fully fill out due to an old injury, but it doesn't stop me from being a cuddly lover! I've been neutered and vaccinated. I was heartworm positive but have thankfully completed treatment.
Training & Support
I'm already potty and crate trained and walk nicely on a leash. I do tend to guard my food, which is understandable given my past where I was chained in a yard and severely underweight. With a little extra care and patience around meal times, I'm confident we can work through this together.
