King is an adult male mixed breed dog, weighing between sixty and ninety-nine pounds. He was rescued by Big Dog Ranch from a dire situation in North Alabama, where his previous owner was hospitalized, leaving many dogs in urgent need. Our team worked diligently for seven hours to safely rescue King and his companions. He was scared and confused, but never aggressive, and is now safe at Big Dog Ranch, receiving the care and love he deserves. He is learning to trust our staff and is discovering the joys of gentle pets and warm hugs. King is slowly learning how to walk on a leash and will be ready for his forever home soon.

King is a large dog and is good with other dogs. He is looking for a patient and loving home that can help him continue to build his confidence.

Ongoing Health

King is neutered and vaccinated. He is receiving necessary medical care and nutritious meals at the ranch.

Training & Support

King is learning to walk on a leash for the first time and is slowly learning to trust people. He will need continued patience and positive reinforcement to help him adjust to his new home.
