About Victoria

Victoria is a 5-year-old, 48 lb. female Husky mix with a heart full of love to give! She was rescued from the streets of Saltillo, Mexico, after being found hungry and thirsty. Despite her rough start, Victoria is a confident, noble, and incredibly grateful dog who loves to be by your side. She has a beautiful smile and enjoys cuddles and affectionate rubs. Victoria is crate and leash trained and eager to please her new family.

Ideal Home

Victoria would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, owned by active families who enjoy outdoor adventures like hiking and long walks. Ideal adopters will have a deep understanding of street-animal rescue and a background in dog behavior and training. Patience and high tolerance for rescued pets are a must. She needs to eat in her crate to prevent food-related conflicts. Victoria is not house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Victoria arrived with severe malnutrition, which has resulted in the loss of most of her teeth, with only three molars remaining. She is missing her fangs, a condition attributed by the vet to her past malnutrition. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on DHPPI, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccines, as well as deworming. She has tested negative for heartworm and receives monthly Nexgard Spectra preventative.

Training & Support

While Victoria is crate and leash trained, she is not house-trained. Her past experiences have made her protective of her food, and she needs to eat in her crate to avoid conflicts with other animals. Adopters should be prepared to continue her training and provide ongoing support to help her adjust to a loving home environment.
