Full-Time Lounger, Part-Time Wildlife Watcher Extraordinaire!
Stewie is a 9-year-old, 55-pound boxer-hound mix who has truly mastered the art of the ultimate lounge session, punctuated by brief, glorious bursts of athleticism. One minute he's curled up like a cozy cinnamon roll, and the next he's galloping through the woods with the focus of an Olympian! He's a heat-seeking snuggle bug who thrives in cozy corners with soft blankets, and he's definitely a fan of warmer climates. Stewie is a dog who knows his fashion and proudly rocks sweaters, as his fur is quite minimal. Indoors, he's a dream: he's potty trained, crate trained, not destructive, and generally just happy to chill. Give him a tasty marrow bone and a sunny window, and he's content for hours.
Stewie absolutely adores people! Any enthusiastic "Hi Stewie!" will activate his full helicopter tail, and he'll lean into you as if trying to merge molecules. He loves kids, adults, strangers, and even the UPS driver! However, he's made it clear that he prefers to be the only furry friend in the household. Stewie is a people-dog, not a dog's dog, and at this point in his life, he's ready for a solo gig. He does have a high prey drive and takes his outdoor adventures very seriously—rodents beware!
Ideal Home
Stewie would do best in a quiet, country-style home where he can enjoy yard time without unexpected encounters with neighborhood pups. A secure fence is a must, as he's not subtle when he spots something worth chasing. Stewie isn't complicated; he just knows what he likes: sun patches, belly rubs, warm laps, and a peaceful home where he can be the center of your universe. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for everyone.

Stewie is house-trained and crate-trained. He is not destructive and is generally happy to relax indoors.
