Meet Hachi!

This resilient fellow is an estimated 2-year-old, 50-pound bundle of love who was rescued from a hoarding situation and spent much of his life in an outdoor kennel. Despite his past, Hachi's heart is incredibly soft, and he's a total love bug who truly treasures the simple things like belly rubs and a cozy bed. He greets life with a wagging tail and a gentle spirit, and he's wonderful with kids and eager to make friends with everyone he meets. Hachi is crate trained and potty trained, making him ready to settle into a loving home. He enjoys adventures and is a medium-energy dog, happy to play or relax by your side. He's still working on gaining a little weight, aiming for closer to 60 pounds, so he'll appreciate any tasty treats you can offer!

Ideal Home

Hachi is looking for a home where he's included, cherished, and loved. He does best with slow introductions to other dogs and tends to thrive with confident canine companions.

Ongoing Health

Hachi is still working on gaining weight after years of being underfed. His ideal weight is closer to 60 lbs.

Training & Support

Hachi is crate trained and potty trained. He can sometimes try to be the "big tough guy" with more timid dogs, but he does well with confident canine friends once introduced slowly.
