Lane Boots the Snuggly Couch Dog

It's snuggling season, and Lane Boots has the right idea! This sweet girl is an avid fan of couch snuggles and sweet little love sessions. She could lay with you all day, enjoying belly rubs and ear scratches. Lane is the perfect best friend – loving, loyal, and always excited to see you. Meeting Lane feels like you've known her forever, and you'll be wanting to make her yours very soon!

Lane is an itty-bitty baby dog, weighing in around 50 pounds, a total pocket pittie type. She's estimated to be around 2 years old and has so much to offer. She's attentive to her people, easy on leash, and has great house manners. We believe Lane to be an American Pit Bull Terrier and Labrador mix, but she's a rescue, so these are just our best guesses. One thing is for sure: she is 100% a good girl!

The first thing people notice about Lane is her beautiful heterochromatic eyes, one blue and one brown. The second thing people notice is that she's already in your lap, midway through a belly rub, and giving kisses. This girl is so warm and friendly with everyone she meets – a complete lovebug! She's a great match for any socially active household, big family, or extended friend group. Lane absolutely adores kids, too! She would love nothing more than to be a family dog, happy doing nothing with you, watching your favorite show on the couch on a stormy night, or joining in on a family game night!

Lane will look up and smile at you when she's happy, showing her little teefies in gratitude and appreciation. She loves to be talked to and will stick right by your side when you walk around the yard. For affection, Lane will lean into you, suggesting some pets. On leash, when you're stopped, she has an adorable habit of sitting down and looking up at you, asking for affection.

Ideal Home

Lane would love a home with a yard to sunbathe in and ample couch space, as the couch is her favorite place to be! She would do well in a home with a stable, relaxed doggy sibling. She is also cat tolerant, but finds kitties very interesting, so it's probably best for Lane not to live with cats.

Training & Support

Lane is food motivated and affection motivated, making further training enjoyable and rewarding. She already knows "sit" and is working on "lay down" and "roll over." She is a very fast learner, submissive with people, and very respectful of rules. Lane is easy on leash and a huge fan of walks, loving to sniff around. She hasn't been fazed by passing cars.

Lane is located in Texas and transport is available across the US, to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada. Transport is provided on USDA licensed vehicles with 24/7 care. Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT. There is an additional $87 surcharge for transport. All adoptions within Texas must be picked up from Friendswood, Tx.
