Meet Sonny! He's a large, lovable goober powered almost entirely by snacks and cuddles. This handsome love muffin is playful, silly, and endlessly affectionate. Sonny loves exploring, chasing toys, going for walks, and making sure his people never get too far away. He soaks up every bit of attention he can find and reminds everyone he meets that personal space is more of a suggestion. If you sit down, Sonny will assume you've prepared a lap just for him.
Like many dogs, Sonny is still building confidence in some areas. Getting into the car for the first time can be a bit nerve-wracking for him, and getting out of the car is an ongoing discussion. But with a little patience and encouragement, his brave side shines through. Sonny is approximately 1 year old and weighs 51 lbs.
Ideal Home
Sonny would thrive in a home with plenty of love and attention. He might also do well with a confident canine friend to show him the ropes, as he does great passing other dogs on walks and was playfully social during his assessment with other dogs.
Ongoing Health
Sonny has received his DAPPL, Rabies, and Bordatella vaccines, though follow-up boosters may be required. He is microchipped and comes with a Cuyahoga County license. Dogs adopted directly from the kennel need to go to your personal vet within two weeks of leaving.
Training & Support
Sonny is still building confidence in some areas, particularly with car rides. Patience and encouragement will help him shine.

- Adoption fee is $61, which includes spay/neuter, shots, microchip, and license.
- If the dog is already fixed, they may go home the same day; otherwise, they can go home after their surgery.
- We cannot make guarantees regarding behavior, temperament, or health once a dog is in your home.
- We do not know the previous home environment for most dogs (e.g., with kids, other pets).
- If you have children or another dog, they are required to be present for a meet and greet.
